A few of my Native American inspired canvas prints, mixed media and photo transfers were recently displayed locally. It’s always fun to put some of my art work up in the community in small venues that support local artists. I was the first to exhibit art at Showtime Pizzeria’s new location in Aptos for 2 months. I approached the owner with the idea of using a section of his wall for local artists. The wall space there isn’t real large but it is well lit by track lighting, just like a gallery. I was happy to be the first to decorate the wall with colorful art. I sold a 12 inch by 16 inch canvas print of one of my powwow dancer portraits, “Crow”. This print has been a favorite of my customers for a long time. I featured this print in a previous post, entitled Becky Olvera Schultz Featured Artist On Local Santa Cruz Website. The powwow dancer, who did sign a model release a few years ago, is Garrison “Crow” Titman, a California Indian I met at a powwow. He is of Miwok, Maidu and Achumawi blood. Prints of “Crow” and others are available at affordable pricing, just email becky@native-expressions.com or call 831-688-0694 for more information on making a purchase.
