Next Upcoming Exhibit at Maturango Museum in Ridgecrest California

Exhibit Dates: January 10-March 10, 2020.  Opening Reception Friday 7 p.m. January 10th.

My next museum exhibit begins January 10th, 2020. The Maturango Museum is located at 100 East Las Flores Ave. in Ridgecrest, CA 93555 in Kern County. It’s 83 miles north of Barstow and 102 miles east of Bakersfield.

The opening reception is Friday, January 10th at 7 p.m. Come by, enjoy the exhibit, have some refreshments and meet with me. The exhibit and reception will be in the Coso exhibit room.

I’ll have on display several mixed media art pieces including Native American clay masks, Southwestern clay and gourd masks, photography, serigraphs, rawhide shields and mixed media works.

The Maturango Museum was founded in 1962 and is an important educational and cultural resource in Ridgecrest. In addition to the exhibit galleries the museum sponsors many programs and tours including tours to the world-famous Coso Petroglyphs and is an information center for Death Valley, the Northern Mojave Desert and the Highway 395 and 178 corridors. Admission is free to the gift shop and information area. Admission to museum exhibits and art gallery is free to members and for non-members they ask $5 per adult age 18 – 54 and $3 age 55 and older. There is no charge for anyone under age 18 or for active duty military. Admission to the museum is free to everyone the 2nd Saturday of each month.
